It has begun! Whoo Hoo!

Today, the pressure washers came out and washed down the entire exterior of the house. This is in preparation of the painters who are scheduled to arrive next week (Monday?).

We have hired CertaPro Painters, an international franchise company whose nearest office is based in Noblesville, Indiana. They have a wonderful reputation and have even been featured on Bob Vila's show. So far, the experience has been quite pleasant. We just can't wait for the final result scheduled for completion around July 14 (pending weather).

Stay tuned - we'll keep you apprised of the progress.

"Wheeling" It

With our weight and gas prices going up, we decided to get two old bikes out of the garage and fixed up!

We have had great fun buying all the accessories and in just three weeks, I have lost ten pounds. As you can tell in the picture, I (Lynn) have a bit more to lose. Thanks Lisa for taking the pic! We are now looking for bike trails and talking about biking vacations in Europe in the next year or two.

House Painting in July!

Well, we're finally doing it! The house went from "want to paint" to "NEED to paint" about five years ago. SO, after all the woodwork is done in June, CertaPro Painters will arrive to completely paint the house in the three color scheme shown in the sample.

"Housework" Redefined

The work has begun! Brad from HomeWorks arrived last Saturday and worked to replace our front porch pilars. Bless their hearts. They were wooden, over one hundred years old, and had done their job admirably. Now, we have new fiberglass pilars in place to hold up the roof for another one hundred years!

Brad will soon work to repair woodwork on the roof in preparation for the house painters in July. BUT, that's another posting!
